So I’ve just thrown this together, so bear with me.
Here’s a (very) rough synopsis of my current regency romance WIP:
Charles is the son of an Earl—soon to be Earl himself—who lives to infuriate his parents. However, that all changes when he meets Willow.
Wilhelmina is a young lady who has been kept out of Society’s eyes because of her unnatural looks. Willow’s stark white hair, eyes of almost no color, and the palest skin that has ever been makes her a target for ridicule. Some think she’s a witch, others simply don’t like her look. No matter the reason, in this vain period when appearances are everything, Willow is a sore thumb Society chooses to ignore.
Until one young (almost) Earl takes notice.
The relationship doesn’t start with affection. It starts with deception when Charles starts courting her to anger his parents. However, looks are deceiving in this Society, and so is his heart which is deceiving him when he begins to develop real feelings for the lady.
His mother will stop at nothing to divide the couple and restore balance to the Society her son disrupted.
However, when Willow goes missing, Charles will stop at nothing to find her, even if it means going through his mother to get to her.
In the end, there is blood and there is scandal. Basically, someone is going to die. But with a father that is not yet dead, a crazy mother, and a Society full of suspects, the question is who does Charles kill?
